About Mrs. KelleY
Hello,
I am Miranda Kelley (previously Killian), and I am your child's music teacher. I graduated from Susquehanna University, located in central Pennsylvania, in 2012 with a degree in Music Education. I come from a small town in northeastern Pennsylvania, but moved to Arizona in late 2012 to pursue my career as a music teacher. When I studied in college, I focused on vocals but spent time on all of the typical orchestral instruments. Previously, I taught K-8 general music, as well as, orchestra and chorus. This will be my seventh year teaching and fourth year as part of the ASU Prep Team! I currently consider myself a Sun Devil, as I am now continuing my education towards a Masters in Exercise and Wellness.
Outside of the classroom, I am very active. I have played volleyball since 6th grade and actively play on an indoor volleyball team. I like to stay active and am always preparing for my obstacle course races such as Tough Mudder and Spartan. In the winter, you will find me snowboarding and dirt biking, in the summer I am flow boarding (a version of surfing on an artificial wave), wakeboarding, kayaking and, thanks to the weather in Arizona, I enjoy motorcycle rides to get me out of the city.
Please feel free to contact me with any information or concerns. I am looking forward to meeting you and teaching your child the passion and love I have for music.
